The start of a massive, wild, time travel heavy sci-fi series. After discovering your coworker Joe has a time machine, and that it's important to not overuse it lest you fracture the "time web", start going on a joy ride with Joe to see himself being born, only for the baby to be a girl named Jane. And then it turns out your brother Chris stole your time machine and has been breaking things and then you have to stop him and then you reconcile with him and then you time travel some more and are pulled into a very blinky space station of sorts and have to solve algebra problems for keys.
It's quite the series.
