Weaver Pixel Twenty-Eight
There were an interesting number of ways for the game to get progressively harder. In spite of no new kinds of movement being introduced, the design space did teach the player certain "mechanics" that remained useful as the levels progressed. And when you fail to execute on your plan, but through blind luck the pixel manages to find its target, you can't help but feel a surge of excitement.
As far as the story, I did find it interesting that there was a real pathos there. You can feel the author cares about what's going on behind the scenes. So even though we're just playing a bit of pong, at least for the creator, it's Pong That Matters. Just sayin
I think this is a really unique game and I think the core mechanics were programmed in pretty excellently. Each of the screens felt like they introduced some new situation and it was fun finding out how to maneuver around them.
