A wildcard stream of games with "search" in the title. Amazingly, while none of the three titles played were lost gems, every single one of them was overall an enjoyable experience, making this one of the most pleasant wildcard streams to date.
David's Quest begins in Virginia where a fan of the American football team the 49ers journeys across the country to make it to San Francisco and get some autographs while avoiding attacks by fans of the Dallas Cowboys. There's a lot of talk about the Dallas Cowgirls and I'm still unsure if that's meant to mean "their cheerleaders" or "heh this team is a bunch of GIRLS!!!!!!!". Some pit stops are made along the way at video game stores and 7/11s with prisons containing folks like Barney the dinosaur (of course).
The Search For The Demon is a horror-action title where a miltary experiment gone wrong has led to a demon sending a small town into chaos with its vicious and unexpected killings on the populace. After your best friend is killed at your front door, you decide to take action, searching for the demon and getting helpful items and information from the scared townsfolk.
Finally Search for Power is about an adventurers journey to recover the Staff of Power which has been tracked down an underground cavern on an isolated island. Gameplay is mostly just following linear paths and shooting ZZT's creatures, until it becomes time to fight against the demon that currently guards the staff. A simple game that's fun to run through.
Stars are a recurring problem to varying degrees in most of these games, and while they get a little excessive, none of them feel too miserable for earlier ZZT worlds. All of these have unknown release dates, but the style and limited STK would make me guess all of these are pre-1996.
