In the first RPG battle, the object that sets Constance as defeated when shot (@condie at 21,22) zaps its :shot label after it's done. However, unlike the others, Constance (@constance at 36,10) does not #lock herself during her :die code until after her check for Betty's presence is completed.

If Betty is still there, there are two cycle 3 idle commands after she improves Betty's aim. Therefore, if Constance is defeated with Betty present, she can then be commanded to do something else by the battle system during those two idles. In that case, since @condie will no longer react to being shot, Constance will become invulnerable and the battle can no longer be won.
