Uploaded files which contain programs specifically to aid in the creation of ZZT and related files or sometimes just miscellaneous items as a legacy thing from the z2 days. Keep in mind that many utilities are quite old and are designed to be ran on systems that support MS-DOS programs. For utilities that are ZZT files rather than programs, check out the genre tags Help, Toolkit, and Utility. Yes I realize how stupid that last sentence is.

Tab2zzt is an exe utility running under dos which allow you to translate
tabs to zzt music. You still have to had rythmics, but give this thing a

This will convert guitar tab (.tab) files to .ZZT format. It's a DOS program and gives you the options of either printing the results, dumping them to a file, or displaying them on the screen. Works very well.

TLDR (Plastic Music Tracker)
TLDR is an external music tracker that uses Plastic!'s .ptf format.
TLDR is largely the same as Plastic!'s in-game music editor, but has the ability to export .wav files.
Included are a number of .ptf files created using TLDR from 2005-2008.

This is a nifty program that will compress your .ZZT files and save games. It gives you an easy-to-use environment to pick a game to play, then it decompresses the game and all the save games needed for it so you can play. It then automatically starts the game. When you quit ZZT, the game is decompressed and you are returned to the menu. This isn't very useful for people who create a lot of ZZT games and there is a possibility of getting all your games wiped out. Be careful with it. However, it saves a lot of space and keeps your ZZT folder nice and tidy. You'll need PKZip on your system to use this.

ZoomIt takes as input a single board and splits it into 25 blocks of 12 by 5. It then outputs a ZZT world of 25 boards, each board a 5x zoom of a 12 by 5 block, with board links to its neighbor blocks.
