Matthew's search for his father continues, and this time he actually starts to get somewhere.
After rescuing the mayor from the monsters of the cave, the mayor of the island's other town wants to enlist Matt for some help in getting rid of a demon. The second mayor steals the show after demanding that Matt kill a demon that has been causing his poplace to flee, only for it to quickly become apparent that the demon in question is just a regular woman.
Through an accident with some traps intended to protect her from the mayor's thugs, the woman is killed, saving Matt from death himself. This leads to a confrontation between the mayor and Matt, where Matt's inability to keep his mouth shut and bad habit of basically believing anything he's told comes back to bite him. The two part ways, but not for long when Matt learns that the abandoned mansion on the coast belonged to his father. Shortly after entering, the mayor arrives and demands that he leave at once.
The mayor then proves that he is in fact a good guy by pointing a gun at Matt and _not_ shooting him. Flawless reasoning.
The adventure continues with Matt trying to unravel what it was the "demon" knew about the mayor and reaching a hidden island off the coast where he gets into a fight with yet another person who demands that he leaves said place.
Basically, things start popping off. There's not a whole lot left to the game, so expect Part 3 to cover the finale soon!
