A classic example of weird 90s humor (Okay, Y2K humor technically.) Your good friend, the fluorescent orange sock (who is yellow) has been abducted by terrorists and taken to their bunker. You simply must save him! Watching out for Apache helicopter attacks, mixups with the penguin empire, and making sure to help out the cat mayor any way you can.
It's silly and of its era, not offering up anything to exciting for somebody playing it 23 years later, but the game itself is coded decently, and there's some more effort put into things than the nonsensical opening might lead you to believe. The store shelves are actually stocked with items. A switch puzzle went pretty well, and a "spot the odd tiles" board felt pretty innovative.
Though some flag mismanagement at the very end means you the game ends with you being accused of cheating, which isn't a big loss as it is actually where the game stops on its own. It just makes for a confusing finale.
The game is just a demo, though there's plenty of rooms to explore as well, making it feel more like one of those ZZT games that ends on a cliff hanger for an unreleased part 2.
