Finally finally finally getting through these last two Star Wars games for the season.

"The Empire Has Gas", which was seen for a minute previous, starts off with some decent production values, looking as if it might play well even if the name isn't giving anyone high hopes. Some welcome attempts at comedy in a Star Wars setting that goes beyond finding half-rhymes with notable characters and set-pieces. Luke can accidentally collapse a rebel base with everyone inside by shooting the walls too much, R2D2 is apparently cussing up a storm with his beeps and boops, Han just hates Luke and wants him to fail. It makes for an okay start that probably would be funnier to an eleven year old.

Sadly, it turns out a third of the game is a seven board maze full of ping-pong-paths. What effort is there in the beginning is all but gone by the end. Cool title screen at least.

Then we get "Jedi Knight", a game about some Jedi on a space station that gets attacked by the empire's forces. It's very difficult to navigate, with several doors that won't open and sure sound like they can't be opened actually opening if you shoot them. Even with this information, there's a ton of wandering, but there is at least some story to it! It also branches into a few unique paths with different endings, including one where Luke Skywalker and the entire cast of original characters are all killed in an orbital laser blast. Good times!
