More volumes in the ZZT Encyclopedia. Starting with anti-cheating techniques, a slew of messy solutions to a non-problem suggesting players constantly convert between gems and score to prevent ?GEMS, silence all sounds and supress messages to prevent ?KEYS, and more!
Admittedly, the "prevent players from cheating in flags by making the flag name too long to fit in the cheat prompt" is a good one.
The hostility towards players is also pretty incredible. Oh, you found the object I hid on a board to make sure you started from the beginning of the game? Looks like you're a LOSER who has NO LIFE and you CHANGED THE GAME so you really played a DIFFERENT GAME, IDIOT. It's great.
Then some tricks with board edges, both the natural border around every board and the element itself when placed into the board. Some fun stuff here at least with one-way transitions that can be turned into two-way, placing warnings in scrolls on other boards, and other silly stuff that's not super practical, but neat to see examples of.
Next, a world full of randomness techniques, many of dubious quality. Also a spider that makes a web that slows players down that's really cool and should be in a different world than this one. There's a little 2 Player board game that's like an even more stripped down Candyland, some slot machines (with memorable sounds and animation), and some great work with invisible walls drawing playing card suits!
