Learn how to make a ZZT game by following along with me!
In this episode we get to the good stuff: programming with ZZT-OOP. I admit that a live stream (or VOD of one) isn't the greatest format for learning this, and I didn't even manage to finish making a single board, but we did cover quite a bit!
In this video I demonstrate making object move, creating simple animations with the #char command, how to create a shop, and a more involved shop in which making a purchase opens a door to let the player enter an area to restore health.
KevEdit has a very detailed help file that expands on ZZT's own help and actually covers quite a bit! It's definitely a very reliable resource.
If you're following along with this series, I'd love to see what you create! Feel free to share screenshots with @worldsofzzt on Twitter and if you finish a game, upload it to the Museum of ZZT at /upload
