Showing how incredibly bad board counts are for estimating how long streams will be when looking at newer releases. Well, admittedly I didn't think I'd play much of Weaver Pixel as I did.

Starting with BigtimeDude's "The Green Rabbit", a strange game with stranger ideas. It looks odds, plays odd, has a nice drawing of a bunny. His mix of trippy ZZT visuals crossed with vintage 90s style fan game aesthetics combines to form a nonsensical series of boards where you never know what to expect next. These kind of games aren't usually my go to, but BigtimeDude has been a creator too big to ignore based on personal preference. If you like unexpected cameos, and text that you might come across in a Viovis game, BigtimeDude has been steadily releasing such games for a few years now.

Then, "Into the Forest I Go", a short jam game that's a simple walk through the forest, admiring the seasons, finding the hidden keys, and discovering the secret fifth season they don't want you to know about. It's a zero-conflict exploration title more about the vibes than any challenges to overcome.

"Weaver Pixel Twenty-Eight" is an experimental puzzle game for Weave that uses a custom charset to create the illusion of a bouncing pixel. There are physics applied with players' only method of control being to flip gravity. It took quite some time to get used to the way the ball controls, but I found myself unexpectedly really getting into the game. Much better than my prediction of running into annoyances where I know what I want to do and can't manage to execute it.

"Unwoven Pixel" is of course, a ZZT 3.2 reimplementation of the engine, just in case you weren't wowed enough by the Weave version. While it doesn't contain the entire game, it contains enough and plays almost identically to the Weave release. About the only real deterrent is the occasional flicker of the pixel when it travels to a different tile in ZZT.

...And then, for the first time in any of these streams, since we had some more time and I had enjoyed Weaver Pixel so much, I actually went back to it for another 20 minutes or so!
