I played it today.
I laughed. I pondered. I smiled.
This game has a simple premise, but the energy and charm of the writing just won me over. Sometimes, a great execution is what can turn a simple idea into wonder.
I quite enjoyed this one! As somebody with a dollar store right by where I work, I always tell myself that one of these days I'm going to just go in with a $20 bill and go nuts. This let me live out that fantasy.
The game itself is well presented. The opening parking lot and the car look great. I enjoyed some of the made up brands like "energizer soda". The shopping experience is fun. Admittedly I missed some of the games secrets as the game's presentation didn't make me think there'd be anything of the sort. It's easy enough to just head to the file viewer and check out all the descriptions for anything you don't buy and follow the flags to figure out how to find anything hidden after playing.
