Short Description
Codepage 437 is standard for ZZT; but it was not the standard in every country.
A codepage defines what glyphs are supposed to be represented by which font indices. Codepage 437 is assumed to be standard for ZZT, and most worlds (having been made in America, DOSBox, or both) expect it as the default font. However, it was not the standard in every country - and some worlds are quietly dependent on this to look correctly.
