♦ "Code Red" by Alexis Janson (1994) [https://museumofzzt.com/file/view/codered/]
Moving on to ending number four. At this point, it's getting pretty challenging to figure out what needs to be done in order to actually get onto these branches. This time, the secret is to unplug the Super Nintendo and then get to the backyard (by blowing up the family computer of course). With Jay Lemonhead back home he'll pick up when you call on the tin can telephone and invite you over for a big surprise :)
The big surprise is that he and his family are aliens and they are going to drain your soul and turn you into an alien too. This is what happens to those who make someone lose their progress in Final Fantasy 2.
The leadup to the transporter to an alien space station is quite short this time, just a single puzzle board though it's rather involved. In exchange, the space station is the largest one yet, and offers Kyle quite a lot of things to do, including nuking the Earth from orbit to kill all the aliens who have already killed every single human except for him.
There's a great gag with some timed bombs that have to be planted... in the space statin's various decorative plants.
This ending has been the most fun to play yet, with no code troubles, some neat looking boards, puzzles with necessary hints, and even the chance to don a space suit and explore outside for a bit. You even get to hang out on the moon!
Of course, it's also an incredible bummer, with the Earth destroyed and no home or species for this sixteen year old kid to return to.
