Another day in the life of Kyle Lipschitz. Average sixteen year old who has it out for any extraterrestrials.
In this particular timeline, Kyle opts to mail his mom's letter protesting the plan to turn all of southern California into a toxic waste dump, while also not unplugging the Super Nintendo his best friend Jay Lemonhead is playing.
Thanks to the butterfly effect, Kyle ends up escaping his execution as well as a hi-tech jail before solving a challenging (but fair!) boulder pushing puzzle in another sewer. Plus a bit of big game hunting in the local zoo where a crowd of onlookers watch in silent horror as young Kyle shoots every animal he can find until he discovers a way to get into space.
From there, the game has a few puzzles spread out across a few short boards to successfully sabotage the ship and fly off with the help of an actually friendly alien. But is it too late to save the Earth?
This one was the best ending yet. As well as being actually bug free... once we switched to a different release of the game. It seems that despite the later date of the registered version, the non-registered release has more of its bugs fixed. Going forward I'll be playing the standard version of Code Red that's been available since at least the z2 archive era.
