A rather lovely pseudo-platformer!
Go on a hunt for gems across various themed levels in hopes of striking it rich. Climb ropes, swing across vines, fight dangerous creatures, and of course search for hidden treasure-laden secrets!
A very impressive game by Graham Peet, whose creation "Jinx and the Journey" was previously streamed almost a year ago. Like Jinx, this game puts ZZT on its side, this time ditching the "you have the gift of flight" and instead using hidden walls to keep players on specific paths (with a bit of hovering in the air at times). It works very well, showing us a great collect-a-thon ZZT world where the exploration is half the appeal. Each level ends with a boss fight and reveals the total gems to be found as your gems are converted into points. This is definitely the sort of game one could really get lost in trying to track down every last secret.
And we only completed three levels! We'll be returning to this one next Sunday for sure.
