Livestream of the ZZT world "Robot" by SeaSerpent (2005)
You play as Neon, a robot recent brought to life on board a space station. Your job is to keep the station safe and protect others from harm. After a mission to respond to a distress signal on another ship goes awry you find yourself on a planet where evil robots have conquered most of the world and have to protect the people there and prove to them that you're not one of the evil robots.
A very charming game that's rather ambitious and complex for the author's first game! It demonstrates some very solid understanding of ZZT-OOP, though it's not entirely bug free. There's a clever idea where you slowly charge up energy on every board (gems) and can use a custom ?+ROBOT cheat to convert that energy to health or ammo at almost any time.
It is a bit difficult to figure out where to go next on the station, and some hunts for hard to find objects make for a slow start, but once you land on the planet things really get moving making for an overall rather enjoyable game that unfortunately ends before resolving its story, setting up expectations for a sequel which never emerged.
