Livestream of the ZZT worlds:
- "Imp World 1" by FX Fox (1995)
- "Where In The World Is Carmen Sanfransisco" by Zach Wolter (1996)
- "Dream World" by Dean Camera
Three world with "world" in the name. All three of which ended up games that felt like they were made by newcomers to ZZT.
Imp World stands out for its fun character names, but has far too many broken board links and the occasional hard-to-find fake wall. Carmen Sanfransisco involves some globe trotting in chase of the infamous criminal with its own errors, but a fun ending as you're apparently not quite an upstanding ACME detective. Lastly, Dream World is very haphazard as you travel through portals to new worlds trying to get home.
It begins with you conquering single board levels as a basic action game, and ends up going on a bit too long because of the lack of variety. At the very end though things get more complicated with the other doing a lot more work with objects and introducing a few simple puzzles of finding hidden keys and what they unlock. Not a bad game, but one that drags on a bit too much in the middle.
