This was going to just be a fun little variety pack with this set of published titles, and then when I went to the Museum to get everything published, two more games sneaked in! So now we're getting all ten.
“MOTORBOAT” by _catbutt_, PUNISH_PORNSTAR, suresh (2021)
The fastest turnaround from upload to publication ever. A new release from the folks who brought us Jeremiad. Some very distinct visuals, some very explicit content, and a whole lot of Heathcliff.
“587 Squadron version 1.Z” by Agent Orange, asie (2021)
The third release of presumably 587. Now with multiple difficulties!
“Hero Bob 1: The Pizza Wars (Restored)” (1994)
This actually comes in just in time. There's a big collection of issues from a ZZT/MZX mailing list that will be going up later this month which has a review for "The Bob Series", and sure enough this is the third in that series, despite the "1" in the title.
This is another fix of a corrupt game in which Business Bob (now Hero Bob) must save the world. Also everything is named Bob.
“The Even Longer ZZT Game” by kristomu (2021)
This is hell, but at least there are selectable difficulties.
“ZZT RPG 1: The Flying Dragon” by LowerVP (1998)
A basic RPG with the plot of the final boss being a giant mechanical airship shaped like a dragon that's powered by the brain of an actual dragon. Very metal.
“ZZT++ 0.3” by Wouter Bovelander (2001)
Program Description
This is an incomplete ZZT clone. It has apparently been developed further - see https://web.archive.org/web/20041011090009/http://www.planetzztpp.com/index.html and https://sourceforge.net/projects/zztpp/
Yet more ZZT clones! ZZT++ is a recreation of ZZT written in C++. This is an older release buried away on an archived web capture.
“El Chupacabra Starring Scully” by Piscez (1997)
Agent Dana Scully is sent to southern California to investigate some cattle mutilations and rumors of el chupacabra in this X-Files fangame. Mulder is working on another case, presumably to avoid having to have an object on every board.
“Tormod sin verden!! [no]” by kristomu, Tormod F. Vegge (1995)
A incomplete game in Norwegian! Secret agent Tormod is on the case to defeat the mafia that has been terrorizing this town blowing up police stations and letting animals out of the zoo.
“FFSoft Mag 1” by Redfire (1997)
A ZZT magazine's first issue! Featuring reviews and an arcade with minigames. The "Destroy my house" game looks amusing enough.
“ZZT Racing Demo v. 0.2” by eJECTION13 (1998)
A racing engine that came out before Speed Racer X. This one has 8-directional movement and a very clever "tunnel" that's just fake walls that the car blends into when it's on top of.
