Livestream of the ZZT world "The Big Leap" by Chris Jong (1993)
A stream poll winner with the theme of "A game from 1993". This one originates in 1992 but the only preserved version is from 93 which works for me since this is a Chris Jong game.
Jong's distinctive style continues to pull off some great visuals in a pre-STK world. It features some cut-scenes with a little bit of animation and plenty of sounds and music that make the game stand out among your average ZZT game from 1993. The game is a little too eager to render the game unwinnable with some items that are mandatory to collect early on that don't get used for quite some time.
But it's still a lot of fun to run through! Journey from 1992 to the far off future year of 2000 in order to acquire a hoverboard and prevent the creation of an army of flying robots that will conquer the world. Save a flight from being hijacked or just jump out and let the bomb explode. Fight giant spiders and people outside of Ohio! Yes this is one of those very silly ZZT games.
