Livestream of the ZZT world "Variety" by WiL (2020)
WiL makes a return to the modern ZZT community with his first new release in more than a decade. "Variety" demonstrates clever coding, some beautiful visuals, a compelling sense of mystery throughout.
Having already dabbled in the early days of modifying ZZT with hex editing, WiL also includes a custom executable built using the recently available source code. The changes are subtle (and the game is in fact backwards compatible with vanilla ZZT v3.2), but minor tweaks really make for a unique experience where you can never be sure what might happen.
