──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Hi and welcome to the first edition of company news. This is where I will put
as much company info as I possibly can into a single article monthly. Look
here for updates on new games produced by our friends on the internet and the
gossip and rumors that everyone likes to hear. Since I will not be covering
the entire MZX history, these first few issues Ill be interiewing the heads of
all the companies I know of. This list includes NR, AD, KPI, EF, and
Tekktonik. If your company is not listed here, please send Mail to me,
Guyver13.

Our first interview is with the head of Eternal Fantasies, Permanente.
Eternal Fantasies is an AOL-based company, consisting of Permanente, dnbishop,
cecil16, xwing1056, and baramarrow. When I interviewed Permanente, he said
that EF had plenty of projects it was working on, though there are no
scheduled release dates for demos or games as of right now. As we got to
talking, I learned that Permanente likes Pizza and lots of different music.
As for current projects of the group, Permanente is learning C, which is
putting production of his game, FlameBlade, on hold. At the time my article
was completed, I had not received any information as to the games each member
was creating. As I receive more information, I will put updates in future
issues.

Next month I will try and get an interview with CapnKev, the head of
Tekktonik, and will definitely have an interview with the head of NR,
MenTaLboY. Both of these companies are internet based, if you haven't heard
of them. Until next month.

- Guyver

QUOTE: "This is the first Megazeux game that Vk Teknoligies has written. It
is about a world in an alternate dimension. The evil Gemeni Man has taken
over from his castle. He has constructed 3 evil Cybernetic Monsters to hold
the authorites off as long as posible. There is only one person who can stop
them, YOU. You must hurry before he can take over the world!

Note: The registered version is avalible, see end of game for details."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fortunately:

        1. It's another Mega Man Clone.

Unfortunately:

        1. It's not a very good Mega Man Clone.
        2. It has only 3 levels, uhhh...well 3 bosses and a final boss.
        3. All of the bosses take only ONE shot to defeat.
        4. The Final boss can either be Extremely Easy or Extremely
Impossible. If you shoot the guy he'll multiply, his weapon is a
seeker and you only have one life, making it impossible. On the
other hand, there are bombs in the room, just use one bomb and
           the registration message comes up.
        5. The Registration asks you to pay $1 for this game for 6 Bosses.
One problem, this game is CRAP and can be beaten within seconds.

QUOTE: "This is a DEMO of ClickSoft World. You have to register to get the
full version. The objective of the game is to survive the 9 levels and defeat
Gates the Dragon. In the demo version, there are only the first 4 levels."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's RIP through this:

1A. Here is a quote from his "Readme" file:

Thank you for downloading the demo version of this program. The demo features
4 excellent levels, and an "Easter egg hunt" level. The real version features
9 levels. The objective of the game is to make it through the entire game to
defeat Gates the Dragon, on level 9. The game features complex things, like a
robot-operated general store.

Please register this game by filling out the registration form, and sending it
along with a check to:

His address *Blah, *Blah, *Blah*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1B. Now here, I will translate this "Readme" file to what it should
            read:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for downloading my EXTREMELY crappy DEMO. This Demo features 4
non-creative, boring, space filling, easy levels where all you have to do is
collect keys and kill enemies. There are no bosses whatsoever.
It also features and "Easter egg hunt" level where all I have done is set a
unreasonable time limit on the board, about 10 seconds or so, if time runs out
you will loose 10 heath points each time. Here you will find some coins.
The objective of the game is to make it through the entire game (By getting
keys, using them, shooting enemies, & getting items) to defeat Gates the
Dragon, on level 9. The game features complex thngs that only a complete
idiot couldn't do like creating a robot that gives you a choice of what items
you want and takes a certain amount of coins away for the item.

The game sounds 3 times more fun than it really is so that's why I'm asking
you to fill out a registration form for my game that I've created out of mud
and send your check to: *Mr. Stupid*

2A. Now onward to scanning his "Registration Form":

        2B. Now here's what he's thinking.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes you heard me right, I'm asking you to pay a whopping $6 for my crappy
game that I worked on for a few hours! I'm sure you'll love my creation that
ain't worth crap. As a bonus how bout some more crappy games, A Shareware
version of MoreTime! you could get for free but I'm asking you to pay 2 measly
bucks, WHAT A DEAL! Also for $2 a Shareware version of WhatsToday, think
it can't get better than this? .......YES IT CAN, Why download those other
RPG type Generators when you can take a chance at my crappy RPG Name
Generator for $4! You don't know exactly what it does so that's why it's
expensive, have to leave some mystery behind this.

To top it all off, Don King eat your heart out, I'm going to be just like
those other goods and add a shipping and handling price of 1 whole DOLLAR!
That's more than an average price of a disk but hey, anything to make money.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

        3. To top ALL OF THIS off, yes it can be topped, the Game was done in
VERSION 1 of Megazeux, meaning you have to use the Ver1to2 utility
to update it. Apparently the author should learn ZZT before going
to the next step in programming, learning ZZT programming. (Let
alone pretend you have an expensive MZX game that you whipped up
           in 5 seconds.)

Fortunately:

        1. A Castlevania game. I think?

Unfortunately:

        1. No title screen.
        2. No plot.
        3. No point.
        4. No fun factor.
        5. This slop that the author put together and calls it a very good
           game. Why?
