There were early tech issues so the streams starts right at the title screen!
Pop continues our unintentional theme of tropical island adventures, though compared to Banana Quest this one is slower, and lot more indoorsy thanks to the island's mass mostly being taken up by a massive lavender tower.
Pop is a surreal Myst-like adventure game influenced by similar ZZT titles like Kudzu and Bizanloo, which means puzzle solving, bizarre characters, and uncovering the tower's secrets as you try to do what no one (almost) has done before: escape.
All the while the gods are watching, as you are just the latest test subject. One of their playthings they love to observe try and fail to escape.
You're far from the only one. A small society has formed of others trying to escape, or trying to make the best of their new life.
Our adventure this stream sees us covering much of the tower grounds, including its library, cafeteria, the mango groves, and its many halls. A deadly vending machine goes for our hands. A living statue is exploded into small rocks. A lot of books are read. A lot of books.
