Starting with "Test Flight", dave2's game about flying an experimental aircraft that takes the simple act of dodging bullets and adds on some extra mechanics to defeat the classic strategy of moving as little as possible. Moving forward increases your speed and engine temperature, while moving back slows you down. You need to dodge TODO without overheating or stalling out, reach supersonic speeds, and then fly long enough to make a successful test.
A lot more challenging that it might sound, and a great ending animation.
Then, "Late Night Shift At The Gender Factory", making a play on ZZT's bombs and keys doubling as gender symbols, your job is to trans some genders by blowing up a bomb and collecting the keys it produces. Maintain production, and don't fall into the machine yourself!
A very odd game that runs into some code snags from the time limit. The breakable to key transformation mid explosion is pretty clever!
Third, "Minion Slaughtermap" plays on ye olden Barney killing games of the 1990s. Listen to too many real Minions meme quotes before turning them into a mess of red fakes. Can they truly be stopped?
It's about as simple of a premise as it sounds, but includes some nice art. The download even includes some hand-drawn concept art!
On to "Beat The Bomb" the latest La Vie game revolving around an escape room that needs to be solved quickly as the centerpiece bomb is a real one! Answer some trivia, peruse some lengthy tomes, and help save a tree from being mulched by debt collectors. As always, there's a mix of the familiar and some new surprises as well.
Next up, ""BombPT", a puzzle game similar to the game I made, except a lot more competent and with actual well designed puzzles. You play as a "smart" bomb trained on Wikipedia (and later a mouse destined to to go the moon), proving your intelligence by solving mazes. Bump walls or the keys you need to push into locks and your fuse will start counting down! Get to a safe spot quickly to put a stop to it. Then as the mouse, navigate the bomb's wiring to make it a little less explodey.
With two styles of puzzle, both of which are executed well, this one stands out to me as the best entry of the batch. And it's got an extended post-jam release with more puzzles!
