Continuing the fight against the killer robots of the caves. After the last stream ended in a bit of an awkward spot thanks to me deciding to play the still intact cut level, the rest of the game is smooth sailing and a reminder of why this game has been fun from the start.
awebs continues to come up with some novel setups for action sequences, and remains committed to making use of as much of the ZZT encyclopedia as possible. This back half includes using energizers as star deterrents, and even a rarely seen use of the Illusion glitch (20:19)!
The game has some fun surprises in store with a trick ending before revealing the true final level as well as a definitely not going to work cheat code to run the game at #endgame speed, which is 100% unplayable.
It was quite a lot of fun, though you can tell the fatigue was setting in with how scribbly some of the later boards become. Still, very much a good find!
