A few ZZT worlds about living dangerously.

Starting with an island! Enter the land of the headhunters and shoot your way through this simple action game. A "My first game" kind of game with just a lot of creatures to shoot and obstacles that aren't particularly obstructing. Well meaning and fully playable, but not much excitement to be had.

Then to the comics. Introducing "Rick Boulder" AKA "The Danger Man". Mr. Boulder is hired by a gas company executive to figure out who has been blowing up gas stations and to stop them from doing so. After a stakeout that results in another station exploding, The Danger Man gives chase on his motorcycle discovering the perp bringing him to justice before he can flee to space and kiss more goats.

This game has some wild chaotic energy to it. It too doesn't have all that much to its action, but this one is better framed with its weird characters, attempts at cinematic sequences, and unintentional humor. Definitely the viewer fave for this stream. It also got us thinking about how surprisingly uncommon depictions of motorcycles in ZZT are. The authors did a nice job making a simple motorcycle graphic here.

Moving on to Revenge, we get another first game with the obligatory giant centipede and everything. It was pretty simple and we had no idea what was going on until the game was over and we realized that it started on the wrong board, right after the introduction. Turns out a guy threw you in the pit of despair! Now you have to get out and get your revenge.

Don't get stuck in slime rooms, watch out for piles of monsters, and run through a hallway with spinning guns and hope you can survive.

Lastly, Point Blank, where Rick Boulder winds up not having the worst name of the stream. See, Ms. June Sharter has been kidnapped, and it's up to you to rescue her.

This one is a faux-platformer inspired by Mario but with a heavier plot. Levels either restrict players from moving up/down, making them trivial to conquer, or present temporary solutions to the lack of gravity via water stages and jetpacks to fly with. This one was nice and colorful at least!

It too is a simple action game though. Plus being shareware, it ends pretty suddenly. There are some previews of the registered version to try and sell you on it, if going into space is your thing.

Overall, a mostly forgetable set. Danger Comics stands out for its story, yet nothing here did all that much in terms of play. Hardly the worst we've seen though, everything was surprisingly playable at least!
