You are a student on a dig site which has just had a fantastic discovery: the lost city of Zuzatan, said by many to be mere myth. It's a rather strange place underground, made all the more strange when a faculty member goes underground and does not return. Tasked with finding him before there's a scandal, you must brace the depths of Zuzatan, uncover its mysteries, and find the missing professor.

The first ZZT release by authorblues makes for a very strong start! Some really great scenery and an eerily quiet underground (aside from those dreadful snakes) creates an air of mystery inviting players to discover where the Zuzatanians came from, and what their fate was. An exploratory puzzler inspired by games like La-Mulana, players need to solve numerous puzzles to open up new passages deeper into the city while not falling victim to its numerous traps, hostile animals, and strange humanoid figures that seem to be keeping an eye on you...

A impressive first foray into ZZT that demonstrates that authorblues knows his way around puzzle design for sure. This is one you can sink your teeth into, slowly piecing things together, and then trying your luck. Worst that can happen is, of course, death.
