Currently, this embed of ZZT has all of the official ZZT worlds included. This consists of the original ZZT saga: Town, Caves, Dungeons, and City of ZZT, and two reference worlds: Tour, showcasing boards from the non-shareware games of the series as well as Demo, intended to introduce players to ZZT's various elements and scripting language ZZT-OOP. You'll also find the winning entries of the original ZZT Game Design Contest where ZZTers submitted individual boards and short games to be released as official expansions. This includes both parts one and two of the Best of ZZT plus six full worlds released in the ZZT's Revenge compilation.
Maps and hint sheets for these worlds (and more) are available in the Museum's Walkthrough directory.
These worlds are straightforward adventures that represent the kinds of gameplay seen in early ZZT worlds. ZZT has a rich history, with games being made for the platform for 35 years and counting. Over the course of that history, countless more kinds of games have been created with the program. There are shooters, platformers, RPGs, comics, puzzles, and more waiting to be discovered! These games are just a small slice of what ZZT has to offer.
The vast majority of worlds available on the Museum of ZZT can be played directly in your browser. Explore the file archives and see what catches your eye! If you see a Play Online link, that world has some support to be played in the browser. Should you decide you'd prefer to download ZZT and play games locally (which is much easier for managing saved games and for creating worlds of your own), check out the TODO page for instructions!
Detailed instructions on playing ZZT worlds can be found in The Unofficial ZZT Player's Manual, though experimenting a bit in Town or Demo will very quickly get you accustomed to basic gameplay without needing to read supplementary material.
