Uploaded files which contain one of more executables. These files are typically utilities to aid in working with ZZT in some way or game specific executables designed to be used with just the included upload. These files are NOT supported by the Museum's file viewer for obvious reasons.
Program Description
Basically I took a bunch of screens from old games I did, fixed up the graphics a bit, and added a new mechanism where you punch enough walls on a building and then it collapses, leaving ash behind. Three unique endings!
Super Wall Puncher is part of my Oktrollberfest 2023 game jam entry, which was actually four entire games with an installer that randomly picks one and deletes the others. This is only Super Wall Puncher on its own -- please see separate entries for the others, A Dink in the Grass, Fire 1000, and ZZTorture.
Credits: Writing, Art, Music, Coding: Jeremy W. Kaufmann
Tools: Zeta, Zima by Asie, Zedit2 by Lancer-X, Weave by WiL, ZZT by Tim Sweeney.
Program Description
The registered version of Super ZZT, generally considered a poor man's ZZT. You'll need it to play any Super ZZT games you might find, though.
Program Description
An older version of an attempted ZZT Clone! This failed to do anything under DOSBox and on an MS-DOS system it would crash moments after loading a world.
Program Description
SuperWAD is a ZZT game editor. It is currently FAR from complete.
Program Description
Tab2zzt is an exe utility running under dos which allow you to translate
tabs to zzt music. You still have to had rythmics, but give this thing a
try, I think it's worth a look. don't forget to read the tab2zzt.hlp file.
Program Description
This will convert guitar tab (.tab) files to .ZZT format. It's a DOS program and gives you the options of either printing the results, dumping them to a file, or displaying them on the screen. Works very well.
Program Description
This will reformat a .txt file so it fits in a ZZT window. Perfect for dialogues, but make sure it doesn't lop off the text at the end of each line!
This appears to not work in DosBox properly.
Program Description
Used to generate ZZT-OOP for text effects. Crashes under DosBox.
Program Description
TLDR (Plastic Music Tracker)
TLDR is an external music tracker that uses Plastic!'s .ptf format.
TLDR is largely the same as Plastic!'s in-game music editor, but has the ability to export .wav files.
Included are a number of .ptf files created using TLDR from 2005-2008.
Program Description
If you use ZZTAE to edit your ZZT games, it will leave a little bit of signature code. This utility removes that bit of signature code so that it looks like it's been created in the regular ZZT editor. Obviously, its biggest practical use is getting around ZZTAE bans on 24HOZ competitions, but that would be very very naughty of you...
