"Space Crap" sees you aboard a space ship whose landing "engine" is in need of repair before your destination is reached. You can't tell the captain though because he'll totally freak out. So it's up to you, Chris Pillem, to do the repairs. This is a short chain fetch quests as you barter with crew to get keys to the rest of the ship in exchange for sodas. Pretty goofy. Features "WWF with guns" for a fight sequence, and the ability to use a space toilet and watch its contents get jettisoned into space.

"Space Race" is one of those really fun ZZT worlds that wants you to take it seriously, but is far too silly to do so. In a highly polluted future, plans are underway to evacuate humanity to another planet. However, only 20% of the population will be able to make the journey. Naturally, the rich are buying their tickets leaving the poor to die.

So you decide to take action and destroy the corrupt evil society (as in an actual group with members) that is doing this. Zip around a small town finding allies and hiring mercenaries to launch an assault. But watch out! Not everyone can be trusted!

The writing on this one makes it a blast. Classic unhinged ZZT drama.

"Space-Case" by Zenith puts you on a one man mission to save a space station after aliens board it. You have been chosen not because you are so skilled, but because the mission is hopeless and you'll be missed the least. And boy, they weren't kidding.

The action is a few boards to grab some keys and escape alive. Trouble is, the aliens move at max speed and are pretty much impossible to get away from once one catches up to you. There are also a bunch of swinging saw blades that are instant kills. Hundreds of health needed to be cheated in to be able to get through it, which is a shame as if the difficulty was a little lower it would be a decent enough entry. Though the judges loved it regardless, despite being impossible to get through.

Lastly, "Space Station Nariss" is another aliens have boarded the station game. This one does a much better job, having your small crew of freight haulers dock with the station to make repairs after getting dinged by an asteroid. The ship is infested with aliens and nearly everyone is dead, with the game playing a bit like a survival horror game, focused on limited encounters and rescuing survivors to bring aboard your ship. Really well executed game that has a few bugs, but doesn't break entirely thanks to your ability to also punch aliens to death. Easily a highlight of the contest and the judges agreed.

And then they get rated!
