WiL's newest release for Weave, a event-driven (ha ha) game about a cross country rally set 150 years in the future. Pick a driver, sentry, and technician to build your crew, then hop in one of America's few remaining automobiles, and bring hope to the people as you attempt to survive the trip!
Driving is an automatic process with routine interruptions for all kinds of strange events. Streamers' drones following you and demanding an interview. Gross little dudes throwing themselves into your vehicle and making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Freak mist storms. Mushroom-conquered highways. Even family drama!
Events use your crew and car's stats to determine the outcome, making for a game where things never go the same way twice. In addition to your shared stats, some characters have their own perks that can also influence encounters. WiL has gone all out with the game's dialog system, with over 100,000 words between all the permutations of events in the game. It's a lot! But, for the player, it's a pretty smooth drive.
Run low on fuel or need to rest? Pull over at the nearest gas station where you can tune up your vehicle and stretch your legs for a bit. Just be mindful of what you might find if you go rummaging around out back! While your there, pick up some air fresheners or snacks to keep your team alert.
Just uh, keep an eye out for snipers. Not everyone is a fan of these drives. You can make some real enemies if you aren't careful.
