Snorb's curious "Total Remake" of a childhood 24 Hours of ZZT game. Now, with fewer mean jokes towards his sibling, and with more characters from the La Vieniverse!
A tedious day as mayor leads to an unwanted adventure through the sewers to find a glowshroom specimen in the sewers as requested by Dr. Stupid. Armed with your trusty shotgun your first task is to blast your way through the dark and gross environment in search of this item just because.
The weapon mechanic is a fun one. While you have unlimited ammunition, you can only hold 10 shots a time. Reloading requires standing still, making yourself vulnerable to enemies, and breaking away early means having to reload again almost immediately afterwards. Snorb is with us in chat for this and has already acknowledged the system as a solid candidate for a "Snorb's Dungeon Crawl" sequel.
Giving a mad scientist a magic mushroom (no, not that kind) isn't the smartest idea, as the effects it has lead to him becoming kaiju-sized and kaiju-behaving. From there it's time to rally the tabletop squad to find out what it will take to save Dr. Stupid, the city, and your reputation for being dumb enough to give this guy the thing.
This culminates in hopping into a lovely CGA plane and taking to the skies to deliver an antidote of lead and antidote. The plane lets you tweak your stats like any good character sheet would, though conflicts with having to get an Oktrollberfest game out the door mean that the system is unfortunately only a tease for the time being. It _sounds_ interesting at least.
Along the way you can expect the telltale marks of a Snorb game. The characters and recurring locations of course, but also some more elaborate art. Weave allows for some board-flipping effects when acquiring the 'shroom that sets off the adventure, and the plane sequence's city skyline with a Jill of the Jungle-esque sun makes for some nice eye candy!
