Starting with Cyber Punk Janintor, a visual novel of the gritty life of a janitor at a police station in Detroit, set in the future where cybernetics are everywhere, as are devastating super tornadoes. A comedy-noir where most moves that you make get you abruptly killed, or sometimes slowly killed. The visuals come from a mixture of photographs, and 3D models, converted with Zima into MegaZeux boards which gave the game a really neat look, as everything is ASCII yet not aligned to any grid, overlaying its figures onto scenes with the ability to pose them for a new sprite as needed. Not only does it look really cool, but it's got quite a number of laughs. You real start to feel sorry for this guy. Usually.

Then we keep up the police theme with Poge's 2nd-level parody of the notoriously low quality ZZT "Police Quest" game from 1995 which got parodied last year. This newer take adds in a second screen where your drug bust mission gets to play out, assuming you can survive long enough to get inside. Expect a lot of hijinks as you shoot yourself in the balls, are betrayed by someone you thought you could trust, and killed by sniffing Tylenol because you just couldn't help yourself.

Finally, Enqqnx's Minecroft, which takes Minecraft and puts it into ZZT form in a way that would feel entirely natural if Minecraft existed in the 90s and somebody back then did a ZZT take on it. Through clever adapting of resources to keys, and an inventory board reachable from most screens, you get to punch trees, shoot your sword, and battle your way to the Enderdragon. This one has a remarkable amount of charm to it, and really captures the strangeness of ZZT adaptions of games that had no business being attempted in ZZT.
