Title says it all, don't it? Like MST3K, the NL has staggered back to
life. But, if you're reading this then you obviously know that already.
Well, some major upheavals in the world of ZZT/MZX have taken place, Greg
Janson's gone, SV's changed hands a number of times, the original NL ML is
officially dead, Ultraware and other groups have split, AD has shown up
on the scene, and much more. The NL itself has had several brushes with
death, but that's changed too. On the more positive side, a new NL ML is
being played with, the movement spear-headed by yours truly. The NL2 is
tesing off of a free listserver, Coollist. This is obviously far more
efficient than the way the old NL ML was run (through address books) and
more easy too. Plus the mailing headers aren't 8 miles wide. So, the
NL's back in more ways than one, and you can print it out and hang it in
the stocking for all those poor ZZT/MZX loving neighbors of yours without
Net access. Oh, and if you do do that, don't forget to copy the pack-ins
on a floppy and drop it in. On another note, you may've noticed that the
NL's looking a bit different than it used to. Well, since the former
E. CyberBRO's life has been absorbed by school, and free time with it,
that has pretty much left to the handling of the NL up to me. What I did
when creating the title was to take the best parts of the first three
volume's titles, and merge the with the lonely, half-dead final title
of E.'s last issue in volume 4. After leaving the NL to me, E. CyberBRO
also changed his email to MrWisdomX@aol.com. Switching gears back to the
Christmas thing, we've got a nice selection of pack-ins for you (for a
change,) so enjoy! The NL's back!!
